One-Off Bugatti Brouillard Unveiled with W16 Engine

Bugatti has unveiled the Brouillard, a one-of-a-kind hypercar celebrating the Molsheim automaker’s heritage and marking the debut of the brand’s Solitaire personalisation programme.

Introducing the Molsheim manufacturer’ Solitaire programme of creating bespoke, one-of-a-kind models, the Brouillard – named for Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti’s horse and celebrating his love for equestrianism – is the first in a collection of unique Bugattis.

Noteworthy, whereas the company’s latest modern hypercar, the Tourbillon, ditches the firm’s famed W16 powertrain for an electrified 8.3-litre V16, the Brouillard is powered by a 1 193 kW/1 600 N.m version of the former, 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged unit. According to Bugatti, these tarmac-shredding figures allow the one-off hypercar to sprint to the three-figure marker from a standstill in just 2.5 seconds, before topping out at 380 km/h.

Underpinned by a carbon-fibre and aluminium chassis, the Brouillard’s bodywork is finished in a dual-tone, black and green colour scheme, and sits atop large alloy wheels. Functional aerodynamic elements include a duo of roof scoops and a fixed ‘ducktail’ rear wing. A carbon-fibre diffuser houses the quad-exhaust setup. Redesigned headlamps and taillamps, along with a slightly more pronounced version of Bugatti’s signature ‘horseshoe’ grille, complete the bespoke exterior.

The interior features custom-woven fabrics, replete with plaid patterns, green-tinted carbon-fibre surfaces, and machined aluminium trim. Silhouettes of horses are stitched into the doors and seats. A panoramic glass roof is also present.
