Confirmed: billed as the most potent, dynamic and off-road-capable Defender to date, a limited number of Defender Octa units, each priced from R3 499 100, will be available in SA from early next year. The flagship Defender, in which we rode shotgun in October 2024, boasts a BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 producing 467 kW and 750 N.m of torque.

Speculated: signifying a new era for the British brand, the first-ever all-electric Range Rover is on the horizon. When officially revealed, we suspect it won’t be too long before the opulent, emissions-free 4×4 makes landfall on SA shores.
