Maserati will be showing off some of its curviest, finest wares on the cobbled streets of Italy’s capital this weekend during its attendance at the inaugural Anantara Concorso Roma.

Dubbed as a luxury motoring event for vintage car enthusiasts, the Anantara Concorso Roma has rolled into Piazza della Repubblica on the 24th and will continue until the 27th of April 2025. Hosted at the stately Anantara Palazzo Naiadi, the event brings together some of the most revered names in Italian motoring, which will always include the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Alfa Romeo. Another that can’t be ignored is Maserati which will have an A6GCS-53 Berlinetta Pininfarina on show as centre stage to its display.

This rare model was built between 1954–55 and is a symbol of the shift from purebred racers to road-going performance cars. Originally an evolution of the A6G.CS racer, this Berlinetta swapped in a new twin-cam head for its inline-six, boosting output to 125 kW and top speed to 235 km/h. Wrapped in coachbuilt Pininfarina bodywork, it straddled the worlds of motorsport and boulevard cruising with elegance. This car is one of the earliest examples of road/race crossover design and will be on display at Casina Valadier in the leafy Villa Borghese park. Looking to the future, the Italian automaker will be displaying a new Maserati GranCabrio Trofeo at the Palazzo Naiadi too and its SUV fleet will be conducting ferrying duties for all attendees between stations.

But, it is the A6GCS-53 that is the focal point for the brand at the inaugural concourse event because it also provides the Italian automaker with the opportunity to spotlight its Classiche programme, an initiative aimed at preserving and certifying the authenticity of its heritage fleet.
