RM Sotheby’s has listed a 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, one of only 75 units produced, for its October 2025 auction. The exclusive roadster is believed to be only one of four examples finished in Designo Mystic White. With less than 60 km driven from new between two owners, the car you see here is dubbed by the auction house as a true investment-grade supercar.

The SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is inspired by the 300 SLR piloted by Stirling Moss and co-driver Denis Jenkinson, who achieved a record-breaking victory at the 1955 Mille Miglia. The SLR McLaren that is set to appear on the auction block later this month in Munich, Germany, is expected to sell for between €3.5 million and €4 million, or R69 804 070 and R79 776 080 at the current Rand-Euro exchange rate, respectively.

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss employs a supercharged 5.4-litre AMG V8 engine producing 478 kW and 820 N.m of torque. Thanks to its carbon body panels and topless body style, the Stirling Moss edition is 200 kg lighter than the “standard” McLaren SLR. The roadster completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in a claimed 3.5 seconds, before topping out at 354 km/h.

This model includes accessories such as two leather driving helmets, two Oakley SLR Stirling Moss-specific driving goggles, as well as protective cases for the driver and passenger tonneau covers, a cover for the wind deflector, and a silver-painted blank wind deflector panel for the passenger side.
