The organising team from the Eden Classic Car Group is already well advanced with planning for its second Eden Classic Car and Motorcycle Show to be held at the Scarab Arts and Craft Village in Sedgefield on Sunday, July 6. The show venue, located alongside the N2 looks to cater for guests and attendees from close and far by offering a perfect setting under shady trees with a relaxed country environment.
“Feedback from our initial foray into organising a Garden Route motor show in centrally located Sedgefield was very positive,” says Peter Pretorius, the Chief Organiser, and a person with many years of organising successful events of this nature. “Importantly, after last year’s show we were able to donate more than R42 000 to three deserving charities on the Garden Route, all of whom are having a tough time financially with rising costs. A major portion of the takings from this year’s show will again be donated to local charities.”

“We are spreading the net far and wide to attract owners of interesting and rare classic cars and motorcycles to exhibit at the 2025 show. The main focus on the car side will again be on sports and performance cars. Early indications are that we will have an even better display than last year, going from vintage and veteran models to later model classics with a good selection of supercars. The success of the show is based on the fact that all display vehicles are personally selected to meet the show’s criteria. Last year we had 180 cars and 50 motorcycles on show and more than 2 000 adults came through the gates, with no admission charge for children,” added Pretorius.

Last year’s show was the first event of this kind to be staged by the Eden Classic Car Group and it promoted Sedgefield as part of the popular Knysna Oyster Festival. This year’s show will serve the same purpose, with the timing being ideal as there will be an influx of visitors from across the country to the Knysna area.
Post-event comments after last year’s Sedgefield Classic Car and Motorcycle Show were full of praise, citing the spacious display area in a relaxed, rural setting, with plenty of options for food and drink to suit all palates.
The organisers will shortly be going out to car enthusiasts requesting entries for classic and modern sports and high-performance cars, as well as iconic collector cars and motorcycles.
