Previewed in concept form at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the series-production version of Volkswagen’s first-generation T-Roc would make its global debut three years later, in 2017. Now, following an eight-year lifespan, which included a facelift in 2021, the second iteration will reportedly be revealed in August 2025.
However, before the official unveiling, screenshots, taken from a YouTube video that’s since been removed, of the 2026 T-Roc has surfaced online. Shared on Spanish online forum Cochespias, the leaked images show the next-generation model’s exterior and interior.
Starting with the former, the new T-Roc’s exterior styling largely resembles that of the Tiguan, which we evaluated for a road test in the December 2024 issue of CAR Magazine. The upcoming model features a more prominent front facia. The front grille and bumper have been redesigned to lend the new model a more purposeful appearance. The new headlamps, which feature fresh daytime-running light signatures, are connected via a light strip.

Those with a keen eye will notice the fore and aft VW emblems are illuminated – in white and red, respectively. The new taillamps are also connected via a light strip, which spans the tailgate. It also looks like new wheel designs will be on offer.
The interior of the new T-Roc resembles that of the Tiguan and Mk8.5 Golf. The cabin features such items as new digital instrumentation and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. The haptic buttons on the steering wheel has been replaced by physical items, though climate is still operated via touch sliders.
