2026 Simola Hillclimb Ticket Sales Open

Knysna will once again play host to one of South Africa’s premier motorsport events from 30 April to 3 May 2026 when the Simola Hillclimb returns for its 16th instalment. We highlight what you can expect and how you can get tickets.

Penned in to take place from 30 April to 3 May 2025, ticket sales for the 16th instalment of Simola Hillclimb has officially gone live. The event kicks off with scrutineering for the Classic Car Friday competitors, followed by a parade along Knysna’s Waterfront Drive. The Classic Car Friday competition takes place on 1 May, along with King of the Hill scrutineering and a later afternoon parade. All the aforementioned events are open to the public.

The highlight event, King of the Hill takes place on Saturday, 2 May and Sunday, 3 May. Here, drivers will compete for the crown of fastest up the 1.9 km Simola hill in three distinct categories: Road Cars and Supercars; Modified Saloon Cars; and Single Seaters, Sports Cars and Sports Prototypes.

Simola Hillclimb also features a range of other activities and entertainment, including a variety of exhibitions and demonstrations, food and beverage stalls, merchandise vendors and helicopter flips.

2026 Simola Hillclimb Tickets

Tickets can be purchased online for R190 per person per day for general access, or R210 at the gate. The three-day pass costs R465 per person online, or R550 at the gate, while children under 12 receive free access with adult supervision. Pit access tickets are priced from R300 per person per day, or R825 for the two-day pass when purchased online. Prices for the day pass and weekend pass are R330 and R950, respectively, when bought at the gate. Tickets are available for Turn two and Esses Grandstands at similar prices to pit access. VIP parking can only be purchased online for R165 per vehicle per day.

VIP hospitality is available with the Le Mans Hospitality Lounge packages, which include a view of the pit lane and start line, as well as general access, priority parking, pit access, and an all-day food service that serves lunch and beverages. The hospitality package costs R3 550 per person for Classic Car Friday and R4 750 per day for King of the Hill on Saturday or Sunday. A two-day package for the King of the Hill event is priced at R9 000 per person, or R12 250 per person for the three-day package. VIP hospitality tickets can be purchased for children under 12 for R1 150 per day. These tickets are limited to 250 guests per day and can only be bought online.

The event also offers Pavilion VIP Corporate Boxes for groups, providing private suites next to the start line with premium hospitality; including parking, pit access, a private bar, and all-day catering. Bookings for these boxes or Le Mans VIP Hospitality groups (six or more) can be made via emma@speedfestival.co.za.
